1. IntroductionThese Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of storage services provided by Grand River Storage (“the Company”). By renting or using our services, you (“the Client”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.2. DefinitionsClient: The individual or business renting storage space.Company: Grand River Storage, provider of storage services.Goods: Items stored by the Client within the rented storage space.3. Service DescriptionThe Company provides self-storage units for personal or business use, subject to the terms of this agreement.4. Eligibility for UseClients must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.5. Rent and Payment TermsRent Payment: Rent is payable monthly, in advance, on the first day of each month.Late Payment: Late payments are subject to additional fees.Payment Methods: Accepted forms of payment include all major credit cards and e-transfer.Rent Increases: The Company may adjust rent with 90 days’ written notice.6. Access to Storage UnitClients have 24/7 access to their units.The Company reserves the right to temporarily restrict access for maintenance, repairs, or emergencies.7. Prohibited ItemsThe following may not be stored:Flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials.Perishable goods, food, or live animals.Illegal substances or items.Firearms, ammunition, or weapons.Any item that may cause damage or pose safety risks to the facility or other clients.8. Insurance and LiabilityClient Responsibility: The Client is solely responsible for insuring their Goods.Company Liability: The Company is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage, including but not limited to fire, flood, vandalism, or other unforeseen events.9. Termination of AgreementEither party may terminate this agreement with 30 days’ written notice.The Company may terminate immediately if rent is unpaid or if terms are violated.Upon termination, the Client must vacate the unit, remove all Goods, and leave it in clean condition.10. Abandoned GoodsIf the Client fails to pay rent or vacate the unit within 15 days of termination, the Company may seize and dispose of Goods.Goods may be sold to recover unpaid rent and fees, following proper legal notice to the Client.11. Client ObligationsKeep the unit locked with a secure padlock.Maintain the unit in a clean and orderly condition.Avoid causing damage to the unit or facility.Promptly report any damages or repairs needed.12. Company RightsThe Company may inspect units with 24 hours’ notice, except in emergencies.The Company may relocate Goods for safety or operational purposes, with prior notice where possible.13. Privacy and Data ProtectionThe Company will collect and use Client information in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws. Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.14. Governing LawThese Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.15. AmendmentsThe Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms with 30 days’ written notice to the Client.Agreement
